Pathways Recovery Centers Outpatient Rehab Benefits

Outpatient Rehab Programs

If you are looking for mental health treatment, then you need to understand all of your options. One of the most common examples of mental health treatment involves something called intensive outpatient rehab. When it comes to intensive outpatient rehab, there are several benefits to keep in mind. This treatment program often involves you going to an office, meeting with an individual mental health provider, and developing a treatment plan. What are some of the biggest benefits of this type of treatment? There are several important benefits to note.

Intensive Outpatient Rehab Is Not As Disruptive to Your Schedule

First, an intensive outpatient program or IOP will not be nearly as disruptive to your schedule as residential treatment. When it comes to an inpatient program, you may end up having to live there, sleep there, and stay there for a month or more. This can get in the way of school or work. In contrast, outpatient rehab is going to be minimally disruptive to your schedule.

When you enroll in intensive outpatient rehab, you can go home and go to sleep. Furthermore, you can also dictate how much time you spend in treatment. Even though it is going to be important for you to regularly go to your IOP sessions, you will still be able to go to school, go to work, and keep up with your other obligations.

Intensive Outpatient Rehab Is Often Less Expensive

Second, IOP is often less expensive than an inpatient program. For example, if you are looking at an intensive outpatient program or partial hospitalization program, you have probably realized that this will be less costly than a full-fledged inpatient program. Even if you do have health insurance that is willing to pay for an inpatient addiction treatment program, there could be extensive deductibles or co-pays for which you are responsible. If you are living on a tight budget, this may not be possible for you. Fortunately, an IOP may be able to provide you with the addiction treatment you need at a price you can afford.

An IOP Is Closely Tailored To Meet Your Needs

Finally, one of the most important benefits of an IOP is that it is usually tailored to meet your needs. If you enroll in a traditional inpatient rehab program, you will probably be sitting in a large room with a bunch of other people. This type of treatment may not be tailored to meet your individual issues. In contrast, IOP comes in many shapes and forms, offering therapies such as:

  • Individual therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Program
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program
  • Holistic Therapy Program
  • Recreation Therapy Program
  • Trauma Therapy Program

In many of these situations, you will be meeting one-on-one with a trained mental health professional. As a result, all of your interactions are going to be designed to address the root cause of your addiction or substance abuse issues. With the ability to customize your treatment services, you will be able to place yourself in the best position possible to be successful. That is where our team can help you.
